Cards For A Cure

Liam

TAMPA – Over the last two seasons, the University of South Florida Ice Bulls raised over $13,000 for pediatric cancer related charities. Two weekends ago, the team hosted the first annual Madison Goss and Friends Pediatric Cancer Awareness Tournament and raised over $8,000 for the medical trust funds of Madison Goss and Drew Drew Kruszynski, two three-year-olds battling cancer.

Through their contacts in the pediatric cancer community, the team recently learned about a little boy named Liam. He is suffering from Neuroblastoma, a very aggressive cancer that attacks the nervous system. Liam’s wish is to fill his hospital room with Valentine cards.

The Ice Bulls are working to make Liam’s wish come true.

The team will collect Valentine’s cards at their final home game of the season this Saturday at the Ice Sports Forum in Brandon. The Bulls will match every card donated.

The goal is to send Liam at least 1000 cards.

In a continuation of the War on I-4, Saturday’s game will feature USF against the Central Florida Knights. Face off is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. The Knights are currently ranked first in the ACHA D-III south division. The Bulls are tied for seventh.
