PODS Championship Needs VolunteersPALM HARBOR - Organizers of the PODS Championship, a PGA Tour stop March 3 - 9 at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club, are looking for volunteers to assist with the event. Volunteers are needed from February 24 to March 15 in areas including transportation, assistance with players and their families, shot link laser operation and luxury suite hosting. Some positions require training. Volunteer positions both on the golf course and behind the scenes are available. The only requirement is that volunteers work three half-day shifts. Volunteers must be at least 12-years-old. The $80 volunteer registration fee includes a volunteer golf shirt and a ball cap or visor. Most teenagers are standard bearers or amateur caddies, which do not require a volunteer fee or the requirement to work three shifts.
