Dr. Mitchell Scott Klavans Speaks to Rotarians

City Manager Bill Horne, Clearwater Rotarian, hosted Dr. Mitchell Scott Klavans, Urologist with Morton Plant. Dr. Klavans has practiced in Pinellas County for 16 years and has been President of the Medical Staff, Chief of Surgery and Chairman of Urology at Morton Plant Hospital. He spoke about the DaVinci Robotic Radical Prostatectomy, a less invasive technique of prostate removal with a robotic assisted laparoscopic approach. He was instrumental in starting the robotics program at Morton Plant Mease, and is currently one of the directors.
