Town of Belleair's 6th Annual "Run For The Rec" 5k Run/Walk on March 1stBELLEAIR - The Town of Belleair will host it's 6th Annual "Run For The Rec" on Saturday, March 1st. Pre-registration is $12 and day-of registration is $15. The proceeds will benefit The Town of Belleair's Recreation Department. Runners and walkers are welcome. Check in begins at 7 a.m. at the Dimmitt Community Center and the race will begin promptly at 8 a.m. All participants will receive a 6th Annual "Run For The Rec" t-shirt at registration, with the first three finishers in all age groups (14 age groups) receiving awards. The overall female, overall male, masters female and masters male will all receive Bulova watches. Registration includes automatic entry into the raffle drawing; prizes include two bicycles, an IPod Nano, various restaurant gift cards, Clearwater Threshers luxury box tickets…and many more. Following the race, registered participants are invited to enjoy a warm breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon and fresh fruit while listening to music and visiting with local vendors. This USAT certified course will take participants on a scenic tour of the Town of Belleair's beautiful homes, waterways and golf courses.
