BELLEAIR - Over 60 ladies turned out for the Third Annual Mad Hatter's Tea Party hosted by the Belleair Garden Club on April 9. Hats of all sizes, shapes and colors were the order of the day. The event featured a homemade luncheon, Chinese auction and prizes for hats in various categories.
Rosanna Wright's hat in the shape of a cruiseship captured the prize for "most creative." Focus of the hat worn by Ruth McClelland was a large white bird resembling a swan. Her creation was deemed "most outrageous." Also winning prizes for their hats were Jan Hofstra ("most elaborate"), Terri Dingwall ("most glamorous") and Dorothy Shuman ("best of show").
