Largo Police Department Arrests Doctor on Sexual Battery ChargesLARGO - On Thursday, April 17, detectives from the Largo Police Department arrested Doctor Kayode E. Sotonwa (dob 07-25-65). He was charged with one count of Sexual Battery and three counts of Battery. The charges stem from an investigation into allegations that Dr. Sotonwa was illegally touching adult female patients at his office at 2700 East Bay Drive. In all of the allegations, the victims stated that they were referred to the doctor for routine medical problems. During the course of their appointments, the doctor touched them inappropriately which constituted Battery. In one of the cases the allegations rose to the level of a Sexual Battery. Since the arrest on Thursday, Largo Police have received approximately four new allegations against the doctor, which are currently being investigated.
