
Caladesi Chapter, DAR, Announces 2008 Good Citizen and NROTC Award RecipientsThe Caladesi Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented the 2008 DAR Good Citizen Award to Meghanne Oberg, a senior at Dunedin High School. The Award is given each year to a high school senior who best demonstrates the qualities of a good citizen, dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in home, school and community. Meghanne is Community Service Officer of the Dunedin High School NJROTC unit. She is looking forward to achieving her goal of becoming a Naval intelligence Officer when she graduates from college. LT JG Kristen Chong, a senior at Dunedin High School, was presented the NROTC award by the Chapter. She served as a training officer, member of unarmed drill team for four years, and commanded in her senior year. She also attended a Rotary sponsored leadership academy and is a recipient of the American Legion scholastic excellence award. Her plans for the future includes A.I.T. School of Culinary Arts.
