Animobile is on the Move

Pinellas County Animal Services animal control officers Jim Dungan, left, and Gary Brown stand by the Pinellas County Animobile, a state-of-the-art mobile medical unit which is staffed with highly skilled and experienced veterinarians and veterinary technicians as it makes its rounds around the county providing services such as the spaying and neutering of pets and rabies vaccinations. Pet licensing, public education and off-site animal adoptions during special events are also available through the Animobile. Spaying and neutering services are free for pet owners who receive public assistance such as Medicaid, food stamps or Women's, Infants and Children (WIC) benefits. Apointments are required for all pet spaying and neutering. To learn when the Animobile will be in your neighborhood, call 582-2600. Animal control officers such as Dungan and Brown provide countywide enforcement and assistance to citizens with animal-related problems.
