The Belleair Recreation Department's Assistant Director, Eric Wahlbeck and rec leader, Steve Willis, enthralled the morning youth campers with a free throw competition June 6, the camp's "Favorite Sports Team Dress Up Day". (Willis won)

The Belleair Recreation Department's morning youth camp got off to a great start this summer. Seventy-seven children between the ages of 6 through 12 attended the first session (June 2-6). Campers will be participating in arts and crafts, archery, soccer, basketball, kick-ball, softball, dodge ball, movies, games, field trips, and theme and dress up days with emphasis placed on getting along with other campers and having fun.

The morning camps are well supervised by five full time staff members plus ten counselors in training. Remaining sessions of the morning camp are full but some of the afternoon specialty camps still have availability and include mad science, cheerleading, pre-school activities, volley ball and basketball.
