Francis Wilson Playhouse Announces Cover Art CompetitionCLEARWATER - Francis Wilson is announcing a cover art competition for its 79th season. The winning artist’s work will appear on the eight playbills for the 2008-09 season. The winner will also receive a $350 dollar cash award and two full season flex passes (a $290 value). Entries should suggest “excellence in Community Theater”. All entries must be received at the play house no later than August 1st, 2008. While Art work of any size is acceptable, the space on the cover is approximately 4.5 inches wide by 3 inches high so artists should plan accordingly. A panel of judges will announce a winner by August 5th, 2008. The original artwork will be on display in the lobby Of Francis Wilson Playhouse for the entire season. Over 20,000 theater goers and art lovers will get to admire the original piece. While the artist will own the original piece, it must remain on display until April 27th, 2009. The artist will help the playhouse prepare an image for the printer by August 15th, 2008. Print setting and photography fees will be paid by Francis Wilson.
