Photos/text by Sandi Fahy

More than 100 volunteers from the community, including representatives of the Jr. League of Clearwater/Dunedin, Belleair Elementary School, Bright House Networks, Morgan Stanley, Achieva Credit Union and HealthSouth, turned out to help build a new playground for children at the Ross Norton Recreation Complex in Clearwater on June 14. Three other playgrounds were also being built that day in Greece, Africa and Vancouver as part of the worldwide "Let Them Be Kids" project.

Among the many volunteers donating their time to help with the building and landscaping of the new playground at the Ross Norton Recreation Complex in Clearwater on June 14 are (from left) Clearwater City Councilman George Cretekos, Jennifer Brazon, Tammy Koross, Michelle Haber, Dawn Dixon, Ken Martinez and Angelina Sposito.
