Recs and ReadsBy Anne McKay GarrisThe good news is that the shelving is in place at the new Beach Branch Library location within the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center building. The furniture is on its way and it is expected that the move will be made in the next few days with no interruption of the use of the library at all. A celebration is planned for Monday, July 21 at 10 a.m. to officially introduce you to your new library location. There will be someone speaking on the history of the Beach Library. (Does anyone know where it all began?) There will be refreshments, and guides to introduce you to the new locations of your favorites -- movies, magazines, books and computers for your use. Meantime, the Friends of the Clearwater Beach Library and Recreation Center are interested in what kind of programs you would like at these facilities in the fall. In the planning stages are electronics assistance days (help with your cell phone, computer and GSP), an antique appraisals day, writers groups and book clubs, family game night and others.
