Swimmers await the signal for the start of another heat during last week's Lightning Invitational at Southwest Pool in Largo. Over 500 youngsters representing 17 teams from Florida, Georgia and Alabama competed in the USA Swimming-sanctioned meet which took place June 20-22. The Clearwater Aquatics Team accumulated the most points, 978.50, with Saint Petersburg Aquatics taking second with 484.50 points. Lake Lytal Lightning came in third, West Florida Lightning fourth.
Members of the Sandorf family were caught on camera at Southwest Pool in Largo on June 21. The four oldest children are members of the Clearwater Aquatics Team and were there to compete in the Lightning Invitational swim meet.
