RCS Food Bank: Hungry for Your HelpThe RCS Food Bank has seen a 100 percent increase over last year in the number of people needing emergency food assistance. As many as 600 people are assisted each day. The RCS Food Bank, the largest distributor of food in Pinellas County, is on tract to provide more than $2,100,000.00 in food assistance to families in need this year. The help of the public is greatly needed. With the increase in demand, there is little or no food on RCS’s shelves to help those in need. On August 30, you can drive by the RCS Food Bank to deliver food to help those in need. To make a financial contribution, call (727) 443-4031 and let RCS know you would like to contribute to the food drive. Businesses and civic organizations are encouraged to get a barrel from the RCS Food Bank to host a drive at your organization or place of business. Pickups and other transportation can be arranged.
