Top Swimming Coach Arrives in Clearwater

CLEARWATER.—The Clearwater Aquatic Team (CAT) and the City of Clearwater are pleased to announce that Randy Reese is the new Director of Aquatics for the team. The team swims at the Doyle Center for Aquatics at the Long Center. Reese comes to Clearwater from Longhorn Aquatics at the University of Texas at Austin, and is considered one of the premier swimming coaches in the country.

Clearwater is the first place Reese ever coached. Since then, Reese coached more than 60 Olympic swimmers who won 18 gold, eight silver, and nine bronze medals. When he was head coach at the University of Florida, his teams won NCAA Men’s and Women’s Championships. His USA swim teams placed in the top five more than 50 times and won 14 National Team titles. Reese also coached for the Junior Team and Goodwill Games. Record holders from World, American, National Age Group, and State have benefited from his coaching skills.
