Art for Animals Fundraiser SlatedTARPON SPRINGS - The Suncoast Animal League rescued 121 small dogs from a puppy mill in Tarpon Springs April 7, 2008. On Sunday, August 24th, the Suncoast Animal League will host a fundraiser called "Art for the Animals" to help pay for the rising medical expenses. The event will be held at The Zone, 121 E. Tarpon Ave., Tarpon Springs. It will feature live world music from Gypsy Star at the artsy and electric setting of The Zone, drink specials, free buffet, and a live auction of artwork donated by local artists. (Doggie-friendly outside patio). Because the community has a thriving art scene, an enthusiastic turn out is anticipated.
