Penwomen Start Off New Year With Art TourWomen artists, writers, and composers are invited to join the Clearwater Branch of the National League of American Penwomen for a tour of the newly renovated Museum of Fine Arts in St. Pete., Sat., Sept.13, from 9:40 to 11:30ish a.m. followed by (optional) lunch. Penwomen are professional women writers, artists, and composers who meet monthly for networking, craft improvement, and fun. The Clearwater Branch has been in existence since 1957. Charrie Moscardini, acting president of the Clearwater Branch, said “We’ll meet at 9:40 sharp at the Museum entrance. Admission is $8 each with 10 or more people. Our personal Docent Tour will begin at 10 a.m., and lasts about 45 minutes. We’ll get to see the museum’s new wing, including the Indian Art Exhibit. After the tour, we’ll go for a Dutch Lunch in the Museum’s own Café. I hear the food is quite good, and there is lots to see. You can even borrow a folding chair if you want to sit down while you listen to the docent.” The museum is located at 255 Beach Drive North East, St. Petersburg. Parking at the Museum is to the right and behind the building. For more information, and to RSVP, contact charrie-m@earthlink.net or call 727 726-0814.
