
National Puppy Mill Awareness Day AnnouncedNational Puppy Mill Awareness Day will be held Saturday, September 20th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Countryside PetSmart US Highway 19 in Clearwater. Suncoast Animal League will host the event to coincide with events across the nation to help educate our community about puppy mills and relate some first hand experiences. The purpose of Puppy Mill Awareness Day is to draw public awareness to the plight of puppy mill dogs, such as the ones rescued on April 7, 2008 by Suncoast Animal League and will feature: > Poster Parade of Puppy Mill Pups > Education Table - Find out more about puppy mills and how to avoid supporting them - view displays of information, pick up brochures, bookmarks, support ribbons, sign petitions and letters addressed to legislators and/or others asking for better inspections and stronger laws governing breeders. > Refreshments and other "give aways".
