Largo Fire Rescue to Hold Open House and 9th Annual Chili Cook-offLARGO - Have you ever wanted to ride in a fire engine? Would you like to see the “Jaws of Life” in action? Then attend the 2008 Largo Fire Rescue Open House and 9th Annual Chili Cook-off! This family event will also feature fire station tours, extrication demos, presentation by Largo Smuppets, K-9 demos and lots of fun! The evening's feature is the 9th Annual Chili Cook-off, with teams from the city of Largo competing for the title of “Best Tasting Chili”, sample them all. Donations are gratefully accepted, and all proceeds benefit the Children's Burn Foundation of Florida. The Open House will be held Saturday, October 11, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Largo Fire Rescue Station 41, 180 4th Street Southwest, in Downtown Largo.
