Golden Retriever Groups To Host Dog Wash/Dog Spa Day

(from left) Emily Rowe, Julie Kielts, Nancy Sigmon and Dan Kautz of the Florida Gulf Coast Golden Retriever Club, pictured with Rowe's dog Lola, 5, and Sigmon's dogs, Lucy, 2, and Dixie, 8, invite fellow dog owners of all breeds to join them for the Dog Wash & Dog Spa Day they are hosting along with the Mid-Florida Golden Retriever Club at the Fluff 'n Scissors Grooming Salon, 2340 SR 580, in Clearwater on Sunday, October 5. The event begins at 9 a.m. Kielts, president of the Gulf Coast club, advises all proceeds from donations for this event will go to help Golden Retriever Rescue of Mid-Florida, which recently took in several older puppies from a back yard breeder who was going out of business. Among the dogs was a pregnant female named Terri, who recently delivered a litter of seven pups. Monies raised will pay for their care and veterinary costs.
