Vehicle Noise Complaint Program InstitutedLARGO - Police Chief Lester Aradi reports that after receiving several calls from citizens in the community asking for the enforcement of noise violations from loud car stereos, the Police Department has implemented a Vehicle Noise Complaint program on the city of Largo Web site. There is now a link on the Police Department's home page where people can fill in information, such as license plate number, make and model car, time and date, etc., and a letter from the Chief will be generated and sent to the registered owner. The letter makes the owner of the vehicle aware that loud noise from car stereos is against the law, and that had a Police Officer witnessed and confirmed this incident, the driver could have been cited and fined.
