It’s Jazz and Jambalaya Time Again

Invitations are out for the Clearwater Library Foundation’s 5th Annual Jazz Soirée on Saturday, October 18, 2008 from 7 to 11 p.m.

Enjoy cool breezes and the smooth jazz sounds of the 29th Annual Clearwater Jazz Holiday, while nibbling on jambalaya, Cajun shrimp, crab cakes and more on the Main Library’s West Terrace. Providing the New Orleans style fare for the evening are E&E Stakeout Grill, Walt’s Seasonal Cuisine, RUMBA Island Bar & Grill, and Incredible Edibles. A full cash bar will also be available. This year the addition of a live TV feed to screens along the West Terrace and in the Atrium will add to the enjoyment of the evening.

“With the relaxed ambiance of the West Terrace and the spectacular views from the Roof Top, the Main Library is a great place to enjoy the wonderful music of Jazz Holiday and support the work of the Foundation.” said Judy Melges, Executive Director. Reservations are now being taken. As with the previous years, they are expected to sell out soon.

The event’s presenting sponsor is Brown & Brown Pinellas. Other sponsors are Think Tank Studio, Robert C. Dickinson, III, PA. Attorneys at Law, Rowland & Kathy Milam, and A-1 Cabinets.. All proceeds from the Soirée support the programs of the Clearwater Library Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation.

The evening’s performance schedule is:

  • 7:15 – Brubeck Brothers Quartet
  • 9:15 - Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
  • 10:45 - Fireworks
