Soggy Doggie Day – October 18thLARGO - The City of Largo's Recreation, Parks, and Arts Department invites all dogs and dog owners to the annual “Soggy Doggie Splash Party” at the Highland Family Aquatic Center on Saturday, October 18. Small dogs under 18 inches may enter from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and dogs over 18 inches are invited from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. The Aquatics Center is located at 400 Highland Avenue, Largo. The entrance fee for each dog is $5 with owners admitted free. This is a great opportunity for your dog to cool off and enjoy social activities with other doggie friends. Concessions and sponsor displays from Pet Supermarket are available for pet owners. Dogs must be accompanied by a responsible adult, must (per city ordinance) be on a leash outside the fenced area of the pool, must be properly licensed and have proof of vaccination. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times and owners will not be permitted to enter the water due to Pinellas County Health Department directions.
