Family Fishing Day Is a Fun Event

The youngsters pictured above were caught on camera as they wrapped up a morning of fishing at Taylor Park in Largo on October 4. The children were among those participating in the Family Fishing Fun Day coordinated by the Kiwanis Club of Seminole Breakfast. The event, which promoted "angling for fun", was co-sponsored by the Pinellas County Parks and Recreation Department, Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and Sweetbay Supermarket of Seminole. Justin McGinnis, 7, middle row, far left, caught the most fish (3) that day.

Among the club's on-going projects are its Pre-School Reading Program, "Free Books for Kids" Program, Teen Parenting Program and Feeding the Homeless Program. Members also prepare and serve over 100 free lunches to participants and volunteers at the Special Olympics each year.
