Kids and Critters Day at the Humane Society of PinellasCLEARWATER – Join the Humane Society of Pinellas’ Kids and Critters Day on November 8th to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Deanna Marie Palestra Humane Education Center, at HSP, 3040 State Road 590, Clearwater. This invitation is open to the public, and geared towards children from Kindergarten through High School. HSP has planned a variety of visitors to provide entertainment and education from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. along with refreshments and prizes. Special guests are coming in from Animal Planet, Love My Dog Resort and Courteous Canine, Inc. to share about their services along with humane themed activities. HSP is excited to announce that they will have its featured star Hopi, the donkey that makes the most children happy and the Pet Professor on site. Don’t miss this opportunity to also meet shelter mascots, Duncan and Daisy up close and personal! Kids and Critters Day marks the official opening of the anxiously awaited Deanna Marie Palestra Humane Education Center at the Humane Society of Pinellas. This effort has been years in the making. HSP is thrilled that the day has come, and that they can share this great accomplishment with the community and the children that they strive to inform and educate on the humane and compassionate care of all animals.
