Senior Friendly Extravaganza!

Clearwater) The Junior League of Clearwater-Dunedin, Inc., (JLCD) is currently accepting applications for its 2008-09 Education and Community Mini-Grants. In the Education category, a total dollar amount of $2000 will be distributed to educators of Title I schools in Upper Pinellas County (north of Ulmerton Rd.) and Pasco County, with a $500 limit per applicant for a single project that will enhance the classroom curriculum. The deadline for application is 5 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2008. JLCD is also currently accepting applications for Community Program Grants. The JLCD grants are for one year, and provide funding ranging from $500 to $1000. A total dollar amount of $5000 will be granted. To be eligible, organizations must have 501(c) (3) status, and they must provide services related to the current JLCD focus area of Community A.N.G.E.L.S.: The Alliance to Nurture Grow and Enhance Life Skills for Foster Children in Upper Pinellas County (north of Ulmerton Rd.) and Pasco County. The deadline for submitting an application is 5 p.m. February 25, 2009. Applications are reviewed in the order received, and organizations are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
