“A Life of Hope”On Wednesday, January 14, the Clearwater Christian Women’s Club is hosting their monthly luncheon at the Cove Cay Country Club on the northeast corner of U.S. 19 and Haines Bayshore in Clearwater. The speaker for the luncheon will be Betty Smith of Sarasota. While living on the island of St. Martin, Betty’s life was turned upside down by illness and the death of a child. Her story is one of courage, hope and second chances. Debbie Schwab of Above and Beyond travel agency will share some wonderful and exciting travel opportunities which are available. Steelbyrd Norm will be providing music of the islands with his Hawaiian guitar. All women are welcome. The club is not affiliated with any church or denomination. There are no dues or membership. The luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. To make reservations for the luncheon, call Kathy at 488-9684 or Judy at 531-8846 by January 9. The cost of the luncheon is $15 inclusive.
