Burbank, CA — Pianist, composer and performer William Joseph will launch his first-ever headlining tour of the U.S. in support of his current 143 Records/Reprise album Beyond. The tour, which begins January 9th in Clearwater, comes on the heels of his 2008 tours of Canada and the U.K., where the Phoenix native performed at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall and appeared on the U.K.’s top-rated morning show This Morning. A passionate and dynamic performer, Joseph is eager to bring the powerful live experience of Beyond to U.S. audiences. “To me, touring — and meeting people — completes the journey of making music, and it means so much to me to meet everyone who comes out to the shows,” Joseph says. “I have never been prouder of anything I’ve done as I am of Beyond, and I want to share this music with everyone. I will meet every single person that comes to my shows, whether they want to or not!” Released in summer 2008, the cinematic-sounding Beyond is a genre-defying crossover mélange that captures a variety of moods, from the dramatic, to the heart-wrenching, to the light and playful, and all performed with the emotional power and polished precision that Joseph has become known for. The album was executive produced by the legendary David Foster, who discovered Joseph at a charity event in 2003 and also produced his debut album, 2004’s Within. Joseph is a featured artist on Foster’s new CD/DVD Hit Man and performs on the star-studded special David Foster and Friends currently airing on PBS. Beyond has been included on Spectrum Culture’s “Best CDs of 2008,” which praised Joseph for his “breathtaking piano playing.” He has also been called “a major young pop talent” by The Toronto Star. Since the release of Within, Joseph has been in-demand for a number of high-profile musical events around the world, including support tours with Il Divo, Josh Groban, and Clay Aiken, and appearing with such artists as Barbra Streisand, Alicia Keys, Natalie Cole, and John Mayer.
