City of Largo January Events

The Kingston Trio - January 15th, at 7:30 p.m., Largo Cultural Center, 105 Central Park Drive. Their trademark three-part harmony and clean, crisp sound keeps them touring.

High Octane - January 16th, 8 p.m., Largo Cultural Center, 105 Central Park Drive. A tribute to Maynard Ferguson. Relive the music of on of Jazz's greatest trumpet players by Grammy nominated artist Dan McMillion and his high energy band.

Hard Hat Tour - January 17th, 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Southwest Recreation Complex, 13120 Vonn Rd. The Southwest Recreation Complex construction site will be open to the public on Jan 17th from 11a.m. – 1p.m. See the progress and get a first hand look at the renovations.

The Sauce Boss - Bill Wharton - From the Deep Roots of the Florida Cypress Swamp Comes The Sauce Boss, January 23rd at 8 p.m., Largo Cultural Center, 105 Central Park Drive. Bill Wharton (The Sauce Boss) mixes his own spicy Florida Blues and hot sauce right into the gumbo on stage, and at the end of the show everybody eats for free! The Sauce Boss has cooked gumbo for over 150,000 people around the country. Jimmy Buffett sings about The Sauce Boss in his "I Will Play for Gumbo" song. Parrot heads are now flocking from all over the country to see The Sauce Boss play!

Touch a Truck & Florida Clown Day - January 24th, 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., Largo Central Park, 101 Central Park Drive. Imagine BIG trucks, LOUD horns and SMILING faces! That is what you will encounter at the City of Largo's Touch-a-Truck and Florida Clown Day.. This fantastic event is in its 13th year and brings out every kind of vehicle you can think of...dump trucks, fire trucks, motorcycles, buses, power trucks, military vehicles and even a helicopter. Children have the time of their life as they climb in the trucks, bounce on inflatables, have their face painted, ride the train, and enjoy delicious food. New to the event this year is the "Rec Expo On the Go!" featuring demonstrations, classes and programs offered by the Largo Recreation Department.

Recreation on the GO! - January 24th, 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., Largo Central Park, 101 Central Park Drive. Curious about the many classes Largo offers. Here’s your chance to talk with Largo instructors and even view several class demonstrations. In conjunction with Touch- A-Truck & Floriday Clown Day.

Yoga Day USA - January 24th, 9 a.m. until p.m., Play Express at Barclay Square, 13819 Walsingham Rd. Suite B/C. Yoga greatly benefits the flexibility of your body and mind. If you are a beginner to Yoga or an experienced Yogi, this five-hour yoga event will be the place to be. There will be classes, posing instructional sessions and yoga friendly vendors to help bring out your inner harmony. Please bring a Yoga mat, towel and some water.

Live and Let Die - January 24th, 8 p.m., Largo Cultural Center, 105 Central Park Drive. This is a tribute to Paul McCartney and Wings and includes music of the Beatles.

The Four Freshmen - January 25th, 2 p.m., Largo Cultural Center, 105 Central Park Drive. The Four Freshmen are an American vocal band that pioneered a new style of open-harmony vocals which builds on the barbershop tradition. The quartet accompanies itself on guitar, trumpet, bass, and drums. Now in their 60th year of performance, The Four Freshmen continue to bring their unique brand of vocal harmony to audiences worldwide.

Chicago City Limits - January 27th, 8 p.m., Largo Cultural Center, 105 Central Park Drive. Named Best Comedy Group/Duo. This dynamic improv group uses audience suggestions to create everything from mini musicals to game shows. This show may contain adult language and issues.

Patsy Cline-CJ Harding - January 28th, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., Largo Cultural Center, 105 Central Park Drive. Your eyes and ears will deceive you the moment CJ Harding takes the stage with her soulful voice and down-to-earth impression of Patsy Cline.
