Teens to Perform Scenes from Broadway Musicals

DUNEDIN -- Ray Olan has been producing, directing, instructing and performing educational and entertaining shows in Pinellas county for over 20 years. Mr. Ray, as he is fondly known, who has been successfully producing children’s musical theater at the new Dunedin Community Center, is now offering a program designed for teens. Since the entertainment industries are always recruiting young actors, writers, singers, dancers, and comedy teams, Mr. Ray’s Musical Teen Theater is the perfect program to prepare teens for their auditions.Mr. Ray’s Musical

This musical theater program for teens is unique in that their students are given instruction in theater, dance, visual arts, and music. This allows students to explore historical musical styles, music theory, elements of music (melody, rhythm, dance forms, and dramatic tone) through a variety of performance activities. Students can work on developing their voice, hip hop, classic and modern dance routines, acting and drama techniques and audition techniques with fellow performers.    

Now is the time to sign in with Mr. Ray and his cast and crew for the first of two musical productions with scenes from “Wicked”... Defy Gravity as Elphaba the Witch...One Short day as Glinda...and more of some of the greatest scenes this fabulous show. Classes are held on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. beginning January 28th through March 11th.
