Clearwater Police Search for Armed RobberAn unknown suspect – Male, 5’7” – 5’8”, medium build, husky voice, wearing navy jacket with gray hoodie underneath, dark pants, scarf covering face committed an armed robbery, January 21, 2009, 10:03 a.m., at the Pinellas Federal Credit Union, 1601 Gulf to Bay Boulevard, Clearwater. The suspect walked into the Pinellas Federal Credit Union at the above listed location around 10 a.m. The suspect displayed a gun and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he demanded the keys to an employee’s vehicle. The suspect took the keys to a Black Pontiac G6 with a Florida Tag # I50-0IG and left the scene. No one was injured in the robbery. Detectives are working with the bank to secure and review surveillance video.
