Cabana Club Hearing Cancelled Againby Bill LopezCLEARWATER - A hearing concerning approval to build the new Cabana Club on Sand Key that was postponed in December and reset for January 26, 2009 was postponed again and a new date for the hearing has not been determined. The hearing will determine if developer Legg-Mason may precede with construction of the Cabana Club with several deviations from the city building code. When rescheduled, attorneys for neighborhood opposition groups and developers of the proposed Cabana Club will argue their cases in front of Administrative Hearing Judge Alexander. Attorneys representing the City Development Board that ruled in favor of Cabana Club code deviations will also defend the Development Board's decision that was rendered last fall ruling.
