E & E Stakeout GrillWhere Everybody Knows Your NameBy: Donna Malloy
Not many local restaurants can claim their doors have been open since 1985 and their original customers' children, now adults, have become E & E regulars. Back in 1985, partners Eugen Fuhrmann and Executive Chef Erwin Scheuringer created an upscale restaurant featuring continental cuisine and white linen table cloths in Belleair Bluffs. But after ten years, the partners decided they wanted a more casual, southwest atmosphere for their neighborhood restaurant, including a Kokopelli Bar. To this day, E & E's Kokopelli Bar continues to feature their famous Kokopelli Margherita-two for one during Happy Hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Teamwork and history are what make E & E Stakeout Grill so successful. Before opening E & E, Fuhrmann and Scheuringer previously owned/operated the renowned Lobster Pot Restaurant, along with Brandt as Manager. Transferring their creative ideas, knowledge and experience has created one of the most popular restaurants in the neighborhood today. Always raising the bar, the owners are now proud to announce their Early Dinner Menu, served seven nights a week from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. The two most popular selections on the early bird menu this month are the Nebraskan, corn fed Filet Mignon for $12.95 and their slow roasted Prime Rib, served with au jus, creamy horseradish and baked potato. Not to be outdone, seafood lovers can have their Maine Lobster and whipped Idaho potatoes too for $17.95. All Early Dinner entrees are served with your choice of Caesar Salad or Soup du Jour, hot baked bread with herbed olive oil and fresh vegetables. Although E & E has seating capacity for 150 patrons, reservations are recommended. Also, the Early Dinner entrees will change monthly, so please call for new selections. New additions to E & E's dinner menu include Crab Meat Cocktail Louie appetizer, American and Russian caviar, 6 oz. Filet Mignon with Jumbo Crab Meat for $23.95 and Rodeo Steak (center cut sirloin) with 8 oz. Jumbo Lump Crab Cake for $20.95. For those who prefer lighter fare, E & E's Breast of Chicken Margherita, with grilled Italian tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, basil and lemon butter drizzle can be ordered in lite ($13.95) and full ($15.95) portions. Also available in light portions are the Sedona Red Rock Ribs, Lamp Chops and Rack of Lamb. E & E's menu currently features three Black Grouper selections: Pan Fried with lemon caper butter drizzle, Pan Fried Grouper with Jumbo Lump Crabmeat or Grilled Grouper brushed with sweet cream butter, wasabi remoulade. But please keep in mind that E & E's Black Grouper will not be available during the month of February. "That's spawning season" stated Brandt. "We buy our grouper fresh from the local day boats." E & E's fresh black grouper entrees are available now until the end of January and will be back on the menu the beginning of March. And last but not least, for kids twelve-years-old and under, E & E features their Little Big Chiefs Menu. Going beyond just the hamburger, the restaurant also offers Almond Crust Chicken Tenders, Hand Breaded Shrimp, Cheddar Cheese Quesadillas and Macaroni and Cheese, all for $3.95. All children's entrees are served with "dreaded veggies" or French fries! E & E is located at 100 North Indian Rocks Road, Belleair Bluffs, FL 33770 in the Plaza 100 Shopping Center. Please phone (727) 585-6399 for Reservations, Gift Certificates and monthly Early Dinner Menu selections.
