Largo to Get $35,000 From FDOT for Mowing

by Bill Lopez

LARGO - The Largo city budget of $952,000 for mowing grass and vegetation throughout the city will be enriched by $35,000 as a result of an agreement with Florida Department of Transposition.

The agreement calls for the city to mow of portions of East Bay, Missouri and Ulmerton roadways. To receive the mowing funds, the Florida Department of Transportation requires the city to mow these areas at least nine times per year. However, the city actually mows approximately 40 times annually since these are high visibility areas in the city.
