Former Florida Marlins pitcher Rob Stanifer, who is now the head baseball coach at Largo High School, conducted a baseball clinic for youth at St. Patrick Catholic School in Largo on February 7. Stanifer, who played on the Marlins' 1999 World Series Championship team, was accompanied by other members of his coaching staff. Stanifer is pictured at back, far left, with one group of youngsters taking part in the clinic. Younger students were receiving hitting, throwing and catching instruction on an adjacent field. At right is LHS assistant coach Mike Bird. Proceeds from the event benefit the St. Patrick's Parent-Teachers Organization.
