Laser Midwinter’s East Regatta Winners
Nick Thompson from the Royal Lymington YC in Great Britain (first place winner in the Laser Standard (Full Rig) Class) with Paige Railey from Clearwater Yacht Club USA (first place winner in the Laser Radial Class). There's a human interest story here. They've been dating for some time and, while both have won many first place trophies, this is the very first regatta in which they have both come in first in their respective classes.
 Anna Turnnicliffe of North Cape Yacht Club, Ft. Lauderdale (second place winner in the Laser Radial Class) with CYC Commodore Barrie Gustard and CYC PC Fairlie Brinkley who was the Principal Race Officer for the regatta. Anna is the 2008 Olympic Gold Medal winner and US Sailing, Rolex Female World Sailor of the Year for 2008.
 Kevin Holmberg of Davis Island Yacht Club (first place winner in the 4.7 class).
