Palm Harbor Library Offers New Thursday Morning Chess ClubPALM HARBOR – Do you enjoy playing chess? Would you like to learn more about this challenging game? Palm Harbor Library has the opportunity for you! Every Thursday morning, beginning March 5, the library will be hosting a new chess club. Come join local chess enthusiast Jim Martin from 10:30-12:30 each week to learn more about this game of skill and to practice your talents against more seasoned players. No reservations are necessary. Chess boards and light refreshments will be provided. And while you’re at it, why not check out a copy of the library’s popular 2006 video “Searching for Bobby Fischer”? Based on a true story, it tells the tale of a budding seven-year-old chess prodigy and his father, who is determined to make him a chess champion while preserving the love they have for each other. For more information, contact the library’s Reference Department at 727-784-3332, Ext. 3006.
