The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art Exhibitions Slated

TARPON SPRINGS – As an enrichment to the special exhibitions on view, The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art will showcase Passions Unguided, 2002 by Rebecca Sexton Larson, LRMA’s associate curator and registrar, a recognized artist and photographer. Sexton Larson will share her experiences in working with various Polaroid processes. This program will be held on Wednesday, March 11 at noon.

The special exhibitions – It’s a Dog’s Life: Photographs by William Wegman from the Polaroid Collection and Sanctuary: Anna Tomczak Photography circulated by the Museum of Florida Art, DeLand, will be on view through April 12.

On the Easel introduces a work of art from the permanent collection, recent acquisitions, or objects on loan that relate to the current special exhibition.  Each short program is presented by a LRMA staff member or an art professional and is followed by an informal question-and-answer session.  This program is held at noon and is free with admission.

The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art is located just west of U.S. Highway 19 at 600 Klosterman Road, on the Tarpon Springs Campus of St. Petersburg College.  Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, with extended hours until 9 p.m. on Thursday. Sunday hours are from 1-5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and free to children and students with ID. Sunday admission is free and docent tours are offered at 1 and 2 p.m.  The museum is closed on Mondays and major holidays.  Isabelle’s Museum Store is open during regular business hours.
