Ikebana International to Host Annual ExhibitionIkebana International, St. Petersburg Chapter will present its 47th Annual Exhibition of Ikebana titled “ Obi Festival and Ikebana “ at the Treasure Island Community Center at l Park Place & 106th St., Treasure Island, Saturday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Japanese floral design combined with the beautiful Obi sash worn by Japanese women comprise the theme for this year - admission is FREE. Over 100 Japanese flower arrangements will be displayed and features “ Men in Ikebana. “ Demonstrations by Dr. Ricardo Carrasco on Saturday a 2 p.m.; Teddy Steenson on Sunday at l p.m.; and Donna Bosack “The Art of Obi Decor” both Saturday and Sunday at ll:30 a.m. Classes in Ikebana are scheduled on Saturday at 12:30 and 3:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. All classes include container, pin-holder and flowers $25.
