Clearwater Garden Club to Present Flower ShowThe Clearwater Garden Club presents “Harvest” a Standard Flower Show to be judged by National Garden Club Accredited Judges. Floral art will include table designs, creative designs, floor designs as well as miniature designs. After many years of participating in the Club’s flower shows the students of North Ward Elementary School will have their last display as the school will close later this year. Horticulture will feature foliage and flowering plants, hanging container plants as well as cut specimens of foliage, flowering or fruited trees and shrubs. All specimens will be properly named so that you may increase your knowledge of locally grown horticulture. The Flower Show will be held at the Clearwater Garden Center, 405 Seminole St. (corner of No. Ft. Harrison), Clearwater, on Friday, March 27, from 1 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. An Awards Reception will be held at 4:30 Friday, March 27. If you would like to have your soil PH tested, bring a sample of yard soil, about one-pint in a plastic bag, and fill out the form at the Club. The cost to have it tested by the Extension Service is $5. The show is open to the public at no charge.
