Baseball Has Gone to the Dogs

The Humane Society of Pinellas, Inc. is getting ready for Baseball Season 2009. Bark at The Ball Park has become a traditional event held at Bright House Field, 601 Old Coachman Road in Clearwater. There will be three (3) games this year. Sunday, April 19th, will kick off the 2009 season hosted by the Clearwater Threshers. The gates to the field will open at noon.

Be sure to arrive early enough to enjoy the vendors, sign up for the Look-A-Like Contest sponsored by Big Game Gallery (AWESOME PRIZE) and enjoy an agility demonstration by Upper Suncoast Dog Training Club of Clearwater. There will be a Ruffable Raffle offering great gift baskets, event T-Shirts for sale and adorable adoptable pets. Bright House Field will have their usual amenities available: Frenchy’s Tiki Bar and Home Run Concessions. The end of the game offers you a chance of a lifetime as you are invited to Run The Bases with your dog!

Don’t miss mascots Duncan and Daisy as they throw the first pitch and interact with Phinley, of the Clearwater Threshers. Also meet local pet mascots like Beau from The Wag Mag and Julius who has his own calendar. Tickets start at $4 for humans and dogs, further ticket information available at 727-467-4457. Vendor and Sponsorship information is available at 727-797-7722 x222, twila@humanesocietyofpinellas.org or www.humanesocietyofpinellas.org.
