Derby Lane Honors Scholarship RecipientsLARGO - Sixty-three high school seniors will be honored by the Pinellas Education Foundation and Derby Lane on Friday, April 10, at a noon luncheon at the Hilton Carillon Hotel in St. Petersburg. The students are recipients of Derby Lane Scholarships sponsored by the St. Petersburg Kennel Club. Derby Lane Scholars are selected on the basis of their personal and academic achievements, leadership and service to school and community. Recipients are selected from each of the public high schools in Pinellas County and will receive scholarships to be used at a community college or university within Florida. The Pinellas Education Foundation is an independent, non-governmental not for profit whose mission is to provide enhanced educational opportunities for students and educators in Pinellas County Public Schools.
