Clearwater Police Search for Bank RobberOn April 15th, the suspect walked into the Bank of America at 2200 Belleair Road in Clearwater and handed a teller a note that demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled from the bank in an unknown direction. The suspect is a Black male, mid 30s, approximately 6’0”, thin to medium build, fake facial hair (mustache and beard). He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt w/black baseball cap, black sweat pants with a blue shiny material on the back pocket and black frame glasses. Clearwater Police received the call at 10:17 a.m. and responded immediately setting up a perimeter to search for the suspect. The search ended with negative results. Detectives are asking for the public’s help to apprehend the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call the Clearwater Police Department Tip Line at 727-562-4422.
