Dunedin Teen Talent Show Looking for Contestants
DUNEDIN – Pull that sax out of the closet, start warming up your vocals in the shower, start having those concerts in your car on the way to school – the Teen Star 2009 Talent Show is coming to Dunedin. If you have a talent that can amaze a crowd and impress a panel of judges- the show producers want to hear from you.
After the success of the Senior Talent Show in Dunedin the past three years, the Parks & Recreation Department is hosting the first annual “Teen Star 2009” talent show for teens age thirteen to eighteen at the Dunedin Community Center. Auditions are open to any teen that has a talent… from singing and dancing to instrumental and comedy – there’s room for it all. Auditions will be held for two nights:
Both nights, the location will be the Elliot Room at the Dunedin Community Center, located at 1920 Pinehurst Road, in Dunedin. A piano will be available, and contestants need to provide their own accompanist. The top twelve acts will proceed to the finals at the Teen Star 2009 show on Friday, May 22, at 7 p.m. at the Dunedin Community Center, and will be competing for prizes from local businesses. Tickets will go on sale for the show on May 1st, and auditions are free (and public is welcome to watch). Tickets are only $5 in advance or $8 at the door.
Business sponsors are also needed for advertising space and more. For more information on sponsorships, auditions, or the show, please contact the Dunedin Community Center by calling (727) 812-4530 or emailing the show’s coordinator at email@example.com.
