Beautiful Handmade Quilt to go to Lucky Winner

The Clearwater High School Class of 1953 has donated to the Clearwater Historical Society a beautiful quilt handmade by Myrtle Craven Schultz. Tickets for a drawing for the opportunity to own the quilt will be available for $2 each or three for $5 at the Society’s May 2nd Spring Fish Fry that will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Ross Norton Recreation Center, 1426 South Martin Luther King, Jr., Avenue, Clearwater. Go to the Spring Fish Fry and try your luck.

The Society also needs a covered trailer to store all of its fish fry equipment in. This would not only save all the labor in carrying the equipment up and down the Plumb House stairs for each fish fry, but would also free up some much needed space for historic displays in the museum. The Clearwater Historical Society is a 501©3 non-profit organization, so the trailer would be tax-deductible. Contact Bill Wallace at (727) 446-2676 if you have a trailer to donate or have ideas on how the Society could acquire one.
