GFWC Clearwater Junior Woman’s Club Awards ScholarshipsAt their annual Community Awards Night, Wednesday, May 13, the GFWC Clearwater Junior Woman’s Club awarded $7,000 in scholarships to the Women on the Way program at St. Petersburg College-Clearwater Campus and $8,000 in Helping Hands Community Grants to the following organizations: The Shepherd Center, Pinellas Park Elementary, Science Center of Pinellas County, Tampa Bay Watch and Suncoast Voices for Children These awards were made possible due to the continued success of the Club’s major fundraiser, Christmas Under the Oaks Arts and Crafts Show, held annually in November. The 2009 show will be held Sunday, November 15, 2009 in Clearwater’s Coachman Park.
