Flick n Float Family Movies at South West PoolLARGO –The Aquatics Division of the City of Largo's Recreation, Parks, and Arts Department invites the public to attend Flick n Float family movies at Southwest Pool, located at 13120 Vonn Road. The pool opens at 7:30 p.m. for recreational use and the movie begins at dusk or approximately 9 p.m. Lifeguards are on duty and floats are provided, though you may bring your own. Only Coast Guard approved flotation devices are allowed in City of Largo pools and they are available at no charge. Movie dates are June 26, July 10, 17, 24, and 31. Film titles are listed at www.LargoPools.com under Southwest Pool or call 518-3126. There are no rain checks or refunds for severe weather. Group admission for 5 people is $7 resident, $10 non-resident or individual fees will apply. To receive the resident and non-resident pricing, one Largo Recreation Card must be shown for the group. Staff will be grilling free hot dogs throughout the movie and the Youth Volunteer Board will be selling snacks and drinks at family friendly prices. Please do not bring in food, snacks or drinks and smoking is not allowed within the fenced area of the pool. Chick-fil-A Largo will be providing free chicken sandwiches for three movies on June 26, July 17 and 31. July 17 will have a Christmas in July theme featuring the Grinch and Santa Cow. Free digital pictures will be available. New this year is Relaxation Hour for adults before the Flick n Float movies on June 26, July 17 and 31 from 6–7 p.m. Enjoy a peaceful hour stress free while floating in the pool. No fitness swimming or splashing will occur. There will be gentle music playing as well as massage therapists from Massage Envy of Largo providing free massages. Adult charges are $4 with a recreation card or $5 without a card. Kids can have fun next door at the Southwest Recreation Center where childcare will be provided for ages 3 and older $2 with recreation card or $3 without a card.
