St. Petersburg College Faculty Exhibit: Ceramic Works in Clearwater Main LibraryCLEARWATER - The Clearwater Main Library will display ceramic artworks by St. Petersburg College faculty members through Aug. 28 in the Osceola Gallery. Kimberly Kirchman and Jonathan Barnes, St. Petersburg College of Fine Arts faculty members, will display their works in the Osceola Gallery. Barnes' recent works focus on wood fired and reduction fired stoneware. Barnes said his utilitarian pieces, "complete the making process, enhance the meal, and in turn enhances life." Kirchman states, "The practice of ceramics binds me to an ancient technology. I am connected to an old knowledge, further reinforcing my sense of place as an individual." The collection of pieces by the two artists will be on display through Aug. 28. The gallery will be open during regular library hours. Free and open to the public.
