The British Invasion Coming to Tarpon SpringsTARPON SPRINGS - Mark your calendar for Saturday, August 8, for the British Invasion coming to Tarpon Springs beginning at 4:30 p.m. with a procession down Tarpon Avenue of Classic Cars, Ferman MINI of Tampa Bay Cooper's Crusaders and the Apostles Motorcycle Group leading the way. The fun begins with an exhibit of unpublished photos of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Elton John and others in all of the merchant's stores Friday and Saturday. These photos will be auctioned at 8 p.m. and all proceeds will go to "In The Twinkling of An Eye Foundation, Inc.," a 501©(3) charity who will use these funds to pay rent and security deposits for Women and Children of Domestic Violence seeking safe housing. Austin Powers "look alike" Matt Bradley will be the Master of Ceremonies for the event. Ron and the Classics will sing all of their Beatles favorites. British and European quisine, including the traditional meat pies and pastries will be available. barbecue chicken, ribs and pulled pork sandwiches will also be available among the ice cream and key lime pie yummies. The public is invited to this fun night. Your participation can change the lives of these women and children.
