On Friday, September 11th, the Hale Senior Center will host their first monthly Support Group Meeting from 1-2:30 p.m. Thereafter, meetings will be held the first Friday of every month from 1-2:30 p.m. Admission is free.
Support Group networks are a major vehicle for disseminating information and making resources available to assist people with Parkinson's disease and their caregivers. Group meetings help persons with PD, caregivers and families to foster self-empowerment and coping skills in a non-judgmental and encouraging atmosphere. This group will provide information about PD as well as physical, occupational and speech exercises and the opportunity to socialize with other members.
The Hale Senior Activity Center is located at 330 Douglas Ave. in Dunedin. For more information, please call (727) 298-3299 or visit us at www.dunedinfl.net.
